I’m sure you are well conscious of spring always follows winter and fall always precedes it. Duh. Not trying to insult you here just to make a simple point that has been true for hundreds of years. Seasons come and go at their own pace and there is nothing we can do to slow them down or speed them up or influence their behaviors – they have their own agenda and schedule.
Having said this, you will be impressed by the number of people make an effort to rush the seasons of their lives and yes, each life has its own four seasons and they appear and disappear often with little regard for your plans, hopes, fears, dreams and want to control them.
Before I continue let me clarify the quote at the end of Wise Life Lessons. Yes, time passes at their own pace and offers its unique lessons to each of us but, this doesn’t mean we must just sit idly by waiting around for points to change or improve by themselves as time does move from a single minute then one day to the next. OK, given that which is taken care of, let me get back for the basis of the message – the seasons of life.
Let me briefly describe all of them.
Winter – times during; despair, adversity, discouragement, pain, problems, challenges, uncertainty, regret, disappointment, resentment, endings and fear.
Spring – times during hope, dreams, new beginnings, plans, goals, desire, opportunity, optimism, belief, planting seeds and confidence.
Summer – times of relaxation, fun, enjoyment, wonderful memories, confidence, belief, effort, laughter, travel, vacations, easy days and pleasant nights.
Fall – times during the harvesting, success, dreams realized, accomplishments, patience, rewards and contentment.
Yes, each of these seasons can have other – both negative and positive circumstances, emotions and outcomes, but each generally features a basic theme that generally defines this period of our lives.
Therefore you can find three questions I would personally ask – what season have you been in, in your own life? How are you handling or managing it and are you effectively preparing for the following season?
What season have you been in?
The seasons of life are available in no particular order unlike nature’s seasons. You can be in winter as a young person as well as when you are a senior. You can go through the joy of summer throughout your retirement years or else you can find now full of effort, challenges and relentless problems. Stay in mind that everyone during our life can go through cycles of the four seasons where we move from winter to spring and back to winter. In life, a season can last a couple weeks or many years, for the way we think, act and behave during each season.
Fail to learn the necessary life lessons throughout a particular season and rest assured, you will discover yourself once again facing similar issues or problems again in the future.
The challenge for everyone whatever the season we discover ourselves in at any given moment is always to behave in a mature, responsible and positive way. Just because it’s fall and a time of harvesting previous decisions, actions or effort doesn’t mean you need to just suit back and bask forever in the sunshine of blessings and success. You might want to consider some actions or decisions that will help you cope with the coming winter with less pain and struggle.
If you find yourself in a winter that just won’t seem to end, this might be considered a time for continuous reflection, introspection and self-evaluation. Or, it can be a time of renewal as you plan for the effort required throughout the coming spring and summer.
Whatever the season you discover yourself in at this time, it might be smart to maintain attitudes of growth, maturity, maintaining the right life outlook and recognizing that whatever season you might be in is only temporary, is one of the best approaches you can give the current season. Just keep thinking – this too shall prepare me (or as many people are keen on saying – this too shall pass).
How are you currently handling or managing it?
Each season of life requires different decisions, actions and behaviors.
While in spring periods (again – times of growth opportunity and planting seeds) you will need discipline, effort, patience and belief. This can be a time of waiting and planning. It’s a time for confidence, action and consistency. Whenever your actions and behaviors embrace these mindsets you might be setting yourself up for future success within the coming seasons. With out them you may forget to realize the hopes, dreams and results you desired.
When in the summer season (again – times during the enjoyment, effort and confidence) it is important which you maintain vigilance, balance of work and play and patience. Ignoring your spring efforts (of planting seeds etc.) will guarantee that your particular harvest inside the fall will likely be under expected or desired. This is a period of blended activities – experiencing the playful summer days and nights without neglecting your time and efforts and goals.
While in the fall season (see above definition) it can be simple to just take advantage of the fruits of your previous labors and just reap your harvest day after day. But again caution is suggested as winter is just around the corner and if you fail to harvest successfully including mental and physical preparation for the purpose lies ahead, you may find your winter harder and over you can endure. Fall is actually a time for enjoying as well as getting ready for what exactly is round the next corner.
When during the cold months season (see above definition) this can be a time of despair, discouragement and a loss of faith and hope. It can test your resolve, patience and self-belief and confidence. During this season it is critical that you maintain your mind and eye on what lies ahead (spring) rather than bogged down at nighttime, long, cold and hard days and nights. During winter it is easy to fall prey to what is happening within the moment, but I caution you – among the best actions you can take is always to strengthen your resolve, understanding and patience for what you are actually experiencing knowing Cute Quotes that it must be just portion of the ongoing life process and that before you know it spring will arrive.
Are you preparing for the following season?
Here are a few ideas to consider no matter the season you discover yourself in at any life period.
-Continually be reading, learning and growing.
-Make no assumptions.
-Don’t take anything personally.
-Don’t let circumstances determine your behavior.
-Always do your very best.
-Switch off outside negative influences.
-Surround yourself using the right people.
-Accept that failure and issues are normal.
-Learn how to see failure, disappointment and adversity as learning tools.
-Optimism is really a better life approach than pessimism.
-Success and achievements do not define you.
-Life is about relationships and never stuff.
-There is absolutely no such thing as security.
-Fear is the number one negative influence that really must be managed.
-What you consider defines you.
-Your ideas become circumstances.
-The last is dead – let it go.
-Trust God every minute of every day.
-Be loaded with appreciation and gratitude every day.
-You can’t push the river. Relax.
In conclusion; Stay in mind that just since you survive one winter that this doesn’t prevent another winter later on. Just simply because you behave appropriately during any season is no guarantee that you will gain the preferred benefits abfnrz that season. Just since you work hard and plan during spring and summer you will have an effective harvest inside the fall. Life happens which is our responsibility to learn to circulate, strengthen our faith and then grow, learning through the circumstances life places on our plates.
